Jenoptik Laserdiode GmbH of Jena, Germany, and Kantum Electronics Co. Ltd. of Tokyo have founded a company named Jenoptik Laserdiode Japan Co. Ltd., expanding their existing marketing relationship. Based in Tokyo, the new business will focus on the sale of Jenoptik’s high-power diode lasers in the Japanese market. Jenoptik holds a 33 percent share in the venture, while Kantum, with expertise in lasers and laser elements, owns the rest of the corporation.
