JAI Acquires TVI Vision Oy

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 26, 2012 — JAI Inc. has acquired TVI Vision Oy of Helsinki, Finland, strengthening its position in the prism-based line-scan camera industry. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

TVI Vision Oy, a manufacturer of line-scan cameras for industrial machine vision applications since 1993, will continue to operate as an independent entity under the umbrella of JAI, with its own sales channel and production base in Helsinki. The company will contribute to the JAI business with a complete product portfolio, its technology and customer bases, and employees.
