AI4IV, a vision sensor technology start-up, has secured a €1.75 million ($2 million) funding round. The investment will go toward the company’s development and advancement of its FlyEye technology, a bio-inspired sensor that emulates the biological functioning of the human eye and brain. Specifically, the capital will enable AI4IV to complete the design and testing of the sensor, initiate market validation with potential end-users, and proceed with a second development cycle aimed at creating a fully integrated sensing and processing module, the company said. FlyEye offers intelligent vision capabilities across various sectors including industry, automotive, space, robotics, precision agriculture, and urban infrastructure. AI4IV’s technology ensures real-time object recognition even in extreme lighting conditions, overcoming the limitations of conventional cameras. Deep Blue Ventures and Magic Spectrum co-led the funding.
