Israeli Fiber Start-Up Accumulates $7 Million

JERUSALEM, Aug 7 -- Lambda Crossing, an Israeli fiber optic company, has raised $7 million in private investments. Investors included the venture capital arm of Lucent Technologies Inc., Garage.com and Israeli venture funds Gemini and Star Seed. The company also announced that former Israeli chief scientist Orna Berry will be named chairman of Lambda later this month.
