In Germany, Isra Vision Systems AG of Darmstadt, a supplier of products for the optical quality inspection of technical surfaces, has acquired Lasor AG of Oerlinghausen, a specialist in the surface inspection of special papers, beverage boxes and float glass. The merger is expected to result in an expanded machine vision product portfolio and the acceleration of innovations.
Customers also will benefit from the offering of standard products from a single source. Lasor will provide Isra with marketing and customer service expertise in the area of machine vision, and Isra's sales activities will be strengthened in Asia and, particularly, in America. Isra's new location and Lasor's subsidiary are both in Atlanta.
