Merck KGaA of Darmstadt, Germany, a pharmaceutical and chemical organization, has acquired the intellectual property portfolio of OLED-T Ltd. of Enfield, UK, a developer and manufacturer of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). Merck will combine the latter’s portfolio of electron transport and phosphorescent-emitting materials with its own to improve and commercialize organic diode materials.
