Manufacturer of industrial fiber lasers IPG Laser GmbH of Burbach, Germany, has appointed HM Laser as its representative in China. The Beijing-based company, which distributes and integrates materials processing lasers and systems in China, will provide training, support and service for IPG's lasers to local OEMs and systems manufacturers. The distributor intends to offer materials processing and testing and to establish an R&D center for fiber laser applications in Beijing. IPG Laser is a subsidiary of IPG Photonics Corp. of Oxford, Mass.
