InPhase Technologies of Longmont, Colo., has selected ILX Lightwave Corp. of Bozeman, Mont., to supply multiple precision laser diode controllers for integration into new holographic test stations. InPhase, which is targeting archive applications in the professional video and media markets, will use the company's LDC controller series to advance the commercialization of its Tapestry HDS-200R holographic data storage system. The company says that Tapestry will cost-effectively provide videographers, editors and archivists with higher levels of capacity, security and media life expectancy. Its 200-GB drive can record nearly 100 million pages of text, 200,000 photographs or 18 hours of video.
