In France, Highwave Optical Technologies of Lannion has signed a memorandum of understanding for the acquisition of DA-LightCom in Les Loges en Josas. The purchase, the value of which is not to exceed 8.5 million, will be paid to DA-LightCom through the issue of new Highwave shares. Completion of the transaction is subject to certain conditions.

Originating from the France Telecom Research Center, DA-LightCom supplies active components such as photoreceivers and front-end subsystems for broadband optical communications. Its product range expands Highwave's passive subsystems and components.
