GigOptix Opens 2 New Offices in China

PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 30, 2010 — High performance electronic and electro-optic components supplier GigOptix Inc. announced the opening of two new offices in the Greater China region located in Wuhan and Shenzhen.

The new offices, located at Luoyu Road, East Lake Hi-Tech Development Zone in Wuhan and at Shennan Road, Futian District in Shenzhen, will be responsible for sales promotion, customer service and technical support in China.

The company has operated in China since its inception through its local representative, Pangaea (HK) Ltd., which enabled it to develop close partnerships with local industry leaders. Its activities in China include partnering with local manufacturers to develop products targeted specifically for Chinese end-users.

“The establishment of these new offices further confirms GigOptix’ commitment to developing a strong presence in the Chinese market,” said Jay de la Barre, vice president of global sales.

“China is strategically important to GigOptix,” added Dr. Avi Katz, chairman and CEO. “The expansion of our team in China is an important milestone in our continued commitment to building a strong presence in Asia and improving our service to customers.”
