GSI Lumonics Inc. of Billerica, Mass., has received a roughly $5 million order for multiple WaferTrim laser systems from an integrated circuit manufacturer based in the US. Delivery of the systems was planned for the second quarter. The wafer trim process is used in the production of precision linear and mixed signal devices with increased functionality on smaller geometry die. It assists in producing multiple devices from the same die.
