GRENOBLE, France, June 6 -- TRONIC'S Microsystems, a French microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) foundry that produces silicon-on-insulator (SOI)-based MEMS, and the Laboratory for Electronic and Information Technologies of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA Leti), a European R&D lab in the MEMS field, have signed a three-year research and development contract.
TRONIC'S Microsystems and CEA Leti said they will work together to ensure the evolution of SOI-based MEMS manufacturing technologies that CEA Leti transferred to TRONIC'S Microsystems when it was created in May 1997 and to develop new devices based on those technologies.
