PARIS, France, April 12 -- France Telecom has named Eric Bouvier to head its new Mergers and Acquisitions department. According to the company, the new unit will support acquisitions and divestments in France and other countries as external growth accelerates. France Telecom currently has 33.7 million telephone lines in service and operations in more than 50 countries.
