Framos Selected as e2v Distributor

CHELMSFORD, England, Feb. 24, 2016 — Image sensor developer e2v Technologies has selected camera supplier Framos GmbH as the distributor for its CMOS image sensor portfolio.

Framos will focus on e2v’s Jade, Sapphire, Ruby and Onyx global shutter series up to 2 MP, addressing special imaging applications in the NIR range, under extreme low-light imaging conditions or in an extended temperature range.

“The Framos Group is in a period of global expansion and tremendous growth,” said Axel Krepil, head of Framos’ image sensor division. “Establishing this agreement with e2v strengthens our portfolio for customers and will enable us to solidify our leadership in the global machine vision and special applications market while offering local and timely support at all levels.”

e2v develops image sensors for the aerospace, defense, security, space, medical and industrial markets. Framos offers a range of sensors and image processing components for automation, quality assurance, medical, security, transport and industrial fields.
