Paul Kenrick, founder and chief executive officer of OptoSigma Corp. of Santa Ana, Calif., has left the company because of differences with its backers. Kenrick founded the catalog optics company in 1995 with the Japanese firm Sigma Koki. Isao Inomae, an international business expert from Sigma Koki, will serve as temporary CEO until a permanent replacement is chosen. David Rossi, OptoSigma's vice president of marketing, said Kenrick's departure will not affect the company's operations. "The company is well-funded and committed to moving forward," he said, adding that OptoSigma will introduce new product lines and a new catalog this spring. "One of the great things that Paul did when he founded this company was to choose managers who were capable of running the company without him. It's a testament to Paul's ability to bring together competent people."
