Berthold Leibinger Stiftung GmbH of Ditzingen, Germany, has selected the recipient of its Berthold Leibinger Zukunftspreis award for outstanding research milestones in applied laser technology. It has been given to Xiaoliang Sunney Xie of Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., for his work with high-resolution optical imaging techniques. The €20,000 prize will be presented in a ceremony in September.
