Rich Redelfs has been promoted to general partner at Foundation Capital, a Menlo Park, Calif., venture capital firm. Redelfs joined the company as an executive-in-residence and was named a venture partner in June 2005. He formerly held positions as president and CEO of Atheros Communications; vice president and general manager of 3Com's Wireless and Home Connectivity Div.; and in sales, marketing and management at 3Com. Previously, he was chief operating officer at Polygon, a communications software startup.
