Fotona, producer of laser systems and energy-based devices for aesthetic, dental, and gynecological applications, has appointed Jeff Duchemin as group president and CEO. Duchemin recently served in executive roles in the Interventional Surgery and Integrated Diagnostic business at Becton Biosciences and was also the former president and CEO of Harvard Biosciences. The company expects Duchemin's track record of driving revenue growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions, to play a role in advancing the company's innovation and global presence.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Optical fiber measurement instrument manufacturer, Arden Photonics, has appointed Ray Pini as the company's US business development manager. Pini has more than 25 years of experience in business development and customer support.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Lightwave Logic, Inc., a technology platform company, has appointed Robert Blum as its senior vice president of sales and marketing. Blum previously worked as the head of product line management in the photonics platforms business at Applied Materials. Prior to Applied Materials, he was the head of silicon photonics strategy at Intel Corporation.
TORRANCE, Calif. — Power semiconductor company, Navitas Semiconductor, added Cristiano Amoruso to its board of directors. Amoruso served as the CEO of Suniva, Inc., a manufacturer of photovoltaic semiconductors, and was also a partner at Lion Point Capital, L.P. an investment firm. Amouruso will stand for election as an independent class I director at the company's annual shareholder meeting along with Gene Sheridan and Ranbir Singh.
