Forth Dimensions Receives 100 Europe Award

Forth Dimension Displays of Dalgety Bay, Scotland, received a 100 Europe Award from Red Herring Magazine at the Venture Market Europe 2006 Conference, held last week in Paris. The award recognizes 100 companies judged to be "driving the future of technology" in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. Forth Dimension Displays, formerly CRLO Displays Ltd., makes microdisplays using LCD technology in military training and medical/surgical systems. The company, which also has offices in Walnut Creek, Calif., said it is expanding its products for use in consumer electronics such as large screen rear-projection HDTV (720p and 1080p), high-resolution "immersive experience" (near-eye) entertainment systems and front-projection systems; in confocal microscopy and image injection for medical diagnostic and surgical systems; and in digital printing and imaging, industrial metrology and process, and advanced three-dimensional and holographic imaging systems.
