Former Boeing Exec Joins Panorama Labs

Panorama Labs Pty. Ltd., a New York City-based developer of magneto-photonic crystal technology used in video display and projection, telecommunications and integrated circuits, announced today it has named Frank Stirling as president of its Digital Cinema strategic business unit. Stirling has more than 33 years of experience in aerospace engineering, operations and management. He was formerly executive director of Boeing Digital Cinema, where he deployed 31 operational theater screens across the US and in London, and was founder and CEO of Stirling Media. Earlier, he was an assistant vice president at SAIC; he also directed the development of a new business for an aeronautical navigation and communication service at Hughes Space and Communications Co., and specialized in strategic planning and program/product development services for the aerospace industry as president of a Washington, D.C., consulting firm. His technical career began in the US Air Force, for which he directed a surveillance satellite development program for strategic defense and the space launch vehicle program Titan IV. He was also director of secure networks for Homeland Security, planning development of the nation's integrated wireless network. Effective immediately, Stirling is responsible for managing day-to-day operations of Panorama Labs, including the development of a digital cinema projector. He will be based in Los Angeles.
