Flir Systems Inc. of Portland, Ore., has received a $7.2 million order for its ThermoVision Sentry IR camera systems from Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman Corp. The Sentry, an uncooled, dual-field-of-view device with an integrated pan/tilt mechanism, will help maintain perimeter security around US air bases worldwide under the US Air Force's automated security system, for which Northrop Grumman is the prime contractor.
