MARLBORO, Mass., Jan. 21 -- Fiber Optic Network Solutions (FONS) Corp., a provider of optical connectivity products, has announced a joint venture with Nitta Corp., a Japanese manufacturer of industrial belts. The newly formed corporation, FONS-Nitta Asia Pacific, will be based in Tokyo and will focus on bringing high-performance optical assembly products to the Asia Pacific market, expecially passive connectivity products for fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) markets. FONS-Nitta is showcasing its FONS passive connectivity product line at the Fiber Optics Exposition (FOE) 2005 this week in Tokyo.
