Evosys Adds to Management Team: People in the News: 12/11/24
POET Technologies, a developer and designer of photonic integrated circuits, has appointed Bob Tirva to its board of directors and audit committee, expanding the board to six members. Tirva brings over 30 years of executive experience in the technology industry, having held various management positions at IBM, Broadcom Corporation, Dropbox, and Intermedia Cloud Communications Inc. He currently serves on the board of Skyworks Aeronautics.

ERLANGEN, Germany — Laser welding company Evosys has added Marie Schafnitzl as head of finance and Oliver Brandmayer as technical director. Schafnitzl has experience and extensive knowledge in the areas of controlling, accounting, information technology, marketing, and communication. Brandmayer has previously served as Evosys’ head of development and project management since the company’s founding.

AHRENSBURG, Germany — Basler AG, a machine vision company, has appointed Ines Brückel as CFO effective Jan. 1. Deputy CEO Hardy Mehl, currently CFO/COO, will assume responsibility for sales and marketing and communications, continuing to oversee operations and investor relations. Brückel previously worked for auditing firm KPMG and held leading positions in the finance departments of large international technology companies.

BRISTOL, England — Integrated photonics developer Light Trace Photonics has added Steve Kitson as chair of the company’s board. Kitson currently chairs the boards of LumOptica, Actuation Lab, and Impulsonics and was previously the CEO and co-founder of Folium Optics Limited.
