European Machine Vision Forum 2019 Announces Keynote Speakers

BARCELONA, Spain, and LYON, France, April 12, 2019 — BARCELONA, Spain, and LYON, France, April 12, 2019 — The European Machine Vision Forum today announced the three keynote speakers for the 2019 annual event Sept. 5 and 6 in Lyon, France.

Peter Seitz, senior technologist Europe at Hamamatsu Photonics, will deliver the first keynote, which is titled “The Future of Image Sensing: More Intelligence or More Sensing?”

Christian Wolf, Ph.D., associate professor at INSA de Lyon and LIRIS, CNRS, highlights reasoning as a key component of human intelligence in his presentation, “Learning High-Level Reasoning in and from Images.” 

On the second conference day, François Simoens, Ph.D., strategic program manager, CTO office at CEA-Leti in Grenoble, will deliver his keynote, “The Convergence of Photonics and Electronics: An Opportunity for Machine Vision.”

The focal topic of the European Machine Vision Forum 2019 is “Photonics and Machine Vision: Going Deep into Integration.” 

Abstracts for participation via contributions of a talk or poster can be submitted until Friday, May 24, 2019, using the online submission tool.
