Emcore Corp. of Somerset, N.J., has purchased privately held Phasebridge Inc. of Pasadena, Calif., including its specialty products, technologies and business. It will integrate the operation into its Ortel division in Alhambra, Calif.

Phasebridge’s core technical and engineering staff will join Emcore. The company provides multichip system-in-package optical modules and subsystems, including fiber optic gyroscopes for weapons and aerospace guidance. Financial terms of the transaction were not revealed.
