Electro-Optical Sciences Hires Commercialization VP

Electro-Optical Sciences (EOS) Inc. of Irvington, N.Y., announced the appointment of Tina Cheng-Avery to its senior management team as vice president of commercialization, a new position. She joins EOS from Pierre Fabre Dermo-Cosmetique USA/Genesis Pharmaceutical, where she served as vice president of marketing and managed several skin-care product lines distributed through dermatologist and plastic surgeon offices. Previously, Cheng-Avery was global marketing director for skin care at Elizabeth Arden Inc. She has also served as vice president of marketing for Wella Personal Care of North America, group product director at Johnson & Johnson's Neutrogena Corp., and associate brand manager for Aveeno at S.C. Johnson & Family Inc. EOS manufactures the MelaFind, a handheld imaging device that emits light at multiple wavelengths to diagnose the early stages of melanoma, a skin cancer.
