MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Nov. 3, 2014 — Laser-based medical systems firm Iridex Corp. reported third-quarter earnings of $500,000 — the same amount it reported in the third quarter of 2013.

Revenues were $10.1 million in the third quarter of 2014, up 6 percent from $9.5 million in the third quarter of 2013. The company expects revenues of $10.9 million to $11.2 million in the fourth quarter.

CEO Will Moore said revenue growth was driven by the company’s new MicroPulse system for treatment of retinal diseases. He said Iridex will focus in 2015 on new laser systems for glaucoma treatment.

Meanwhile, the company repurchased 146,000 of its own shares during the third quarter at an average price of $7.98.
