The general assembly of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) has elected a new board of directors consisting of nine members who will serve three-year terms. New to the board are Austrian Institute of Technology’s Petra Thanner, TIAMA Group research and development director Benjamin Cocquelin, and Advantech Europe B.V. product marketing senior manager Maurice van der Aa. The assembly has reelected Basler chief digital officer Arndt Bake, Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation Automation IFF department head Dirk Berndt, iMAGE S CEO Marco Diani, head of ZEISS Inline Inspection & Metrology Kai-Udo Modrich, Vision Markets CEO Ronald Mueller, and Vision Ventures partner Chris Yates. During the constituent meeting, the newly-elected board voted in Yates as EMVA president, Bake as treasurer, and Modrich as vice president.
