Dotphoton, SATLANTIS Enter into Commercial Partnership

Dotphoton and optical technology developer SATLANTIS have entered into a commercial partnership that adds Dotphoton’s technology onto SATLANTIS’ satellites.

Dotphoton’s Jetraw raw image compressor will be added to the satellites to enable them to collect and transmit raw images at a higher speed while maintaining the metrological accuracy needed for advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. Both companies hope that by scaling down the data volume that is being captured by the satellites, operating costs and SATLANTIS’ carbon footprint will be reduced.
