Detector Company Changes Its Name
Gresham Scientific Instruments Ltd. of High Wycombe, UK, has been renamed e2v scientific instruments Ltd. The company was purchased by e2v technologies plc of Chelmsford, UK, for £5.1 million in July 2005. It supplies detectors for energy dispersive x-ray and x-ray fluorescence spectrometry. Industrial equipment manufacturers and researchers use the devices in scanning and transmission electron microscopes and x-ray fluorescence analyzers.
