The DeltaNu business unit of Intevac Photonics of Santa Clara, Calif., has been awarded a $1.029 million contract by the US Department of Defense (DoD) to develop Raman spectroscopy systems for military and civilian applications. Possible uses for the technology include detection of toxic, pathogenic or otherwise hazardous materials.
