Lynx Photonic Networks, developer of planar waveguide photonic switches and sub-systems, recently moved their US operations to a brand new 34,000 square-foot facility in Calabasas Hills, Calif. This expansion comes just six short months after beginning their US operations in 5000 square-feet of space in Woodland Hills, Calif.
Lucent Technologies announced that its initial public offering of 600 million shares of Agere Systems Inc. Class A common stock was priced at $6 per share. Agere Systems was formed as a result of Lucent Technologies' planned IPO and spin off of its microelectronics business announced on July 20 of last year.
kSARIA Corp., an automation pioneer in fiber optic component assembly, recently closed out $15 million in first-round venture funding. North Bridge Venture Partners, US Venture Partners and Boulder Ventures Ltd., all top venture capitalists in the fiber optics industry, participated in the funding.
