Ripp president of its Security and Detection Systems subsidiary, in Woburn, Mass., effective Sept. 12. He will succeed Allen Barber, who was named group senior vice president of strategic planning for L-3's New York-based Sensors and Simulation Group, which is focused on the electro-optical/infrared, precision and navigation, and simulation and acoustics markets.
