Thomas Tsao and James Zhiqing Wen were the recipients of the The 2002 Kingslake Medal, presented by The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE) at its 48th annual meeting. The award recognized their paper, "Image-based target tracking through rapid sensor orientation change," published in the March 2002 issue of the SPIE journal Optical Engineering. . . . Zygo Corp. announced it has received a $6 million contract to produce high-quality optics to be used in next-generation semiconductor equipment. The contract runs from 2004 through April 2006. The work will be performed at ZYGO's optical manufacturing center in Middlefield, Conn.
