FLIR Systems Inc. announced it has received a $6.2 million follow-on order from the US Navy's Naval Surface Warfare Command for its MARFLIR maritime thermal imaging system. Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2003. The MARFLIR is a small, highly stabilized and sealed 9-inch gimbal containing a high-performance infrared imager designed for the maritime environment. The system can be mounted on a vessel's mast or wheelhouse; it has de-icing capabilities and features a 10x continuous zoom lens, a laser range finder and an auto tracker.   . . .   James C. Stoffel, senior vice president and CTO of Eastman Kodak Co., has been elected to the board of Harris Corp.   . . .   Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced a collaboration with The Fifth Electronic Research Institute, part of China's Ministry of Information Industry, to establish the IC Testing Industrialization Development Center in Guangzhou, China. The center will expand the National Quality Surveillance and Inspection Center for General Electronic Components laboratory by providing integrated circuit (IC) testing certification. Agilent said the agreement demonstrates a shared vision for IC testing market expansion and technology development for a variety of system-on-a-chip (SOC) applications.
