AIXTRON announced it has sold its two-generation organic vapor phase deposition (OVPD) equipment to RiTdisplay Corp., an OLED manufacturer in Hsinchu, Taiwan. AIXTRON and RiTdisplay will jointly test the equipment to qualify it for mass production of RiTdisplay's products. AIXTRON began developing the OVPD technology in 2002 in a joint development program with Universal Display Corp. The system is expected to be delivered before the end of the year. AIXTRON also announced that Moscow-based Sigm Plus Co. Ltd. has purchased its AIX 2400G3 MOCVD reactor to grow GaAs-based materials for opto-electronic applications such as lasers and LEDs. This is the fourth AIXTRON system to be installed in Russia, the company said.   . . .   FLIR Systems Inc. announced it has received a contract valued at approximately $7.4 million for the delivery of thermal imaging systems, which will be integrated into the sighting system of the Swedish Defense Forces' CV90 combat vehicle. . . .   CTI Molecular Imaging Inc. announced that its PETNET Pharmaceuticals Inc. unit, a provider of positron emission tomography molecular probes and services, has hired Charles Gluchowski, PhD, as vice president of research and development and as managing director of its Los Angeles Tech Center.
