Newport Corp. announced it has opened its enhanced Systems Test & Metrology Lab at its headquarters for research and development in Irvine, Calif. The new lab, designed for measuring the performance of Newport Corp.'s motion control products, includes environmental controls that assure stable temperature, humidity, acoustics and vibration, and new test equipment technology such as a Zygo interferometer.
