Accent Optical Technologies, a Bend, Ore., supplier of lattice engineering and photolithography process control tools, has received an order for a suite of metrology tools from the Korean Advanced Nano Fab Center (KANC) to be used for the development of advanced materials in nanoscale electronic and optical devices. The order includes an RPM photoluminescence mapping tool, an ECVpro electrochemical CV (capacitance-voltage) profiler and a Hall Effect measurement system. KANC, located at the Korean Small Business Center in Suwon, Gyeonggi, will provide facilities for the development of nanoelectronic and photonic devices and hybrid compound semiconductor devices and will support research in fields such as nanotubes, molecular devices and spintronics. . . . Orlando, Fla.-based Super Vision International Inc., a manufacturer of fiber optic and LED lighting systems, announced that it will open its new state-of-the-art training center for customers and distributors in October. In addition to a 64-seat classroom, the center features some of the company's LED and fiber optic lighting systems installed in their specific interior and exterior retail, commercial and signage applications, including a full-size pool and a 30-ft.-high mock building facade built to showcase the company's flood lights.
