Imago Scientific Instruments of Madison, Wis., a provider of atomic-scale imaging and solutions for manufacturers, engineers, scientists and researchers involved in nanotechnology, has appointed Edward Sandke as senior sales director for the Leap microscope product line. Sandke brings more than 12 years of nanotechnology equipment sales management experience and 25 years of capital equipment sales experience to his new role.    . . .    Cymer Inc., a San Diego-based supplier of deep ultraviolet light sources used in semiconductor manufacturing, appointed Edward J. Brown Jr. as the company's new president and chief operating officer (COO). The company also announced its current president and COO, Pascal Didier, will assume the position of strategy advisor. Both Brown and Didier will report to Cymer's CEO, Bob Akins. With more than 20 years experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, Brown will be responsible for planning and directing all of Cymer's day-to-day operational activities and will join the company on September 6.
