BOC Edwards, a supplier of process equipment and materials, announced it has entered into an agreement with Aixtron AG, a manufacturer of MOCVD (metal-organic chemical vapor deposition) process tools, to supply its Zenith III-V integrated pump and abatement system to compound semiconductor customers for arsenide and phosphide MOCVD applications. The Zenith III-V provides treatment of toxic, compound semiconductor process exhaust gases and organometallic precursors in addition to safe handling of high flows of hydrogen. . . . Fusion UV Systems Inc., a Gaitherburg, Md.-based supplier of ultraviolet (UV) curing systems and UV-based technology used in manufacturing, printing and coating applications, has added two managers to its North American sales team: Chris Brandl, formerly Fusion's independent manufacturers' representative based in Michigan, is now the company's midwest regional sales manager, and John Clark, who was responsible for Fusion's sales in much of the southwest, was promoted to sales manager of that region. Lonnie Murphy and Bertram Raabe will continue managing the western and eastern regions, respectively. Fusion also announced that DDU Enterprises, of Torrance, Calif., and InPro Technologies, of Frederick, Md., will be its OEM machine builders. Fusion will handle sales and service in those companies' previous territories. Fusion UV Systems is a subsidiary of Spectris plc, of Surrey, England.
