LED supplier Marktech Optoelectronics has moved to a larger facility with upgraded engineering and warehouse space at 3 Northway Lane North, Latham, N.Y., near Albany. Marktech also makes LED driver products; high-bright and ultrabright leaded and surface-mount LED lamps in both InGaAlP and InGaN materials; a variety of standard discrete, surface-mount, dot-matrix and segment displays; and a line of photo sensor and Constant Current LED driver products. . . . Kenyon Bixby, president of Northampton, Mass.-based Kollmorgen Electro-Optical, a division of Danaher Corp., has been promoted to the newly created position of president, defense products, at Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Co. (PSEMC), a division of Danaher that manufactures pyrotechnic devices used in fire suppression systems on commercial and military aircraft. Bixby, who will relocate to Arizona, will be succeeded as president of Kollmorgan by Michael J. Wall, currently executive vice president of its US operations. Kollmorgen has been the primary designer of all submarine periscopes used in the US Navy since 1916. It was recently award a $22.7 million contract from the Navy to supply submarine imaging systems. It also has facilities in Brattleboro, Vt., Groton Conn., and at Calzoni S.r.L, a Danaher division based in Bologna, Italy. . . . Entegris CEO James E. Dauwalter and DuPont Electronic Technologies Vice President and General Manager David B. Miller were appointed to the SEMI North America Advisory Board (NAAB), which is comprised of 16 industry leaders from semiconductor equipment and materials companies with operations in North America. The mission of the NAAB is to strengthen the financial, market and technology performance of SEMI member companies through programs, influence on the device community and impact on public policy. Miller will serve on the Public Policy subcommittee. Dauwalter will serve on the Communications and Membership subcommittee.
