Specialist photonics distributor Pro-Lite Technology, based in Milton Keyes, England, signed agreements at Laser 2003, held last month in Munich, to represent three manufacturers of advanced lasers in the United Kingdom and Ireland: Radiant Dyes Laser & Accessories GmbH (Wermelskirchen, Germany), which makes laser dyes and the NarrowSCAN family of pulsed-dye lasers used in advanced photochemical and spectroscopic research; Litron Lasers Ltd. (Rugby, England), a maker of ultracompact, flashlamp-pumped, Q-switched Nd:YAG lasers and laser energy meters; and Laser Quantum Ltd. (Manchester, England), which manufactures advanced, high-specification, diode-pumped solid state lasers.   . . .    Daktronics Inc. has been awarded a contract for more than $1.5 million to provide digital advertising and information displays at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. The value of the contract exceeds $1.5 million. Daktronics will provide 840 feet of ProAd digital color light-emitting diode displays for the multiuse facility, replacing some of the existing backlit signs. Installation is scheduled to be complete in October.
