Stephen P. Kaufman has been elected to the board of Indigo Systems Corp., a developer and supplier of advanced infrared cameras, software and enclosure systems based in Goleta, Calif. Kaufman, a senior lecturer of business administration at Harvard Business School, was CEO of Arrow Electronics Inc. from 1986 to 2000 and retired as chairman of its board in 2002. He is also on the boards of Harris Corp., KLA-Tencor and Viacore. . . . Richard F. Pops, CEO of Cambridge, Mass.-based Alkermes Inc., has been elected chairman of the Biotechnology Industry Organization's (BIO) board of directors. Pops will serve for two years and succeeds David E. Robinson, president, chairman and CEO of Ligand Pharmaceuticals Inc., of San Diego. Pops was elected during BIO's annual membership meeting at the BIO 2003 Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. BIO represents more than 1000 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations involved in the research and development of health-care, agricultural, industrial and environmental biotechnology products. . . . PCI Geomatics and BAE SYSTEMS have announced an agreement that provides PCI Geomatics with exclusive distributor rights for SOCET SET digital photogrammetry software, including support and training, in Canada. SOCET SET (SoftCopy Exploitation Tool Set) is BAE SYSTEMS' photogrammetric software for digital mapping, geographic information systems and 3-D visualization or simulation applications.
