The University of Arizona announced it will expand its Optical Sciences Center by 47,000 square feet in 2004. Construction will begin almost immediately for the $17 million project. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Sept. 23 in conjunction with the SPIE-OSC Meinel Commemorative Technical Conference. The new addition, referred to as the OSC West Wing, is scheduled for completion in early 2004.
