GASTONIA, N.C., Sept. 7 -– Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc., the motion control segment of Curtiss-Wright Corp., announced it has completed the stock purchase of Synergy Microsystems Inc., based in San Diego, Calif., for $49 million in cash. A provider of embedded computing solutions for military and commercial markets, Synergy will operate as a business unit of the Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing group.
"The acquisition of Synergy solidifies Curtiss-Wright’s leadership in the embedded computing market space," said George J. Yohrling, president of Curtiss-Wright Controls. "Synergy brings exciting new technology and further diversifies our product offerings into a broad array of military platforms and commercial and industrial markets."
Synergy’s customers include Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, United Defense, Boeing, SAIC, DRS and L3.
