Crystal Systems Granted $250,000

PALAISEAU, France -- Institut de la Lumière Extrême has awarded Crystal Systems Inc. of Salem, Mass., USA, $250,000 for its high-intensity Ti:sapphire amplifier crystals. The funding will be used to increase the heat-exchange method of crystal growth from 6 to 8 in. in diameter.
