ANDOVER, Mass. and SALEM, N.H., Oct. 17 -- Confluent Photonics Corp., a provider of optical components to the cable and telecommunications industries, has announced its acquisition of the dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) business of Lightchip Inc., of Salem, N.H. Lightchip develops DWDM modules based on its patented free-space diffraction grating technology platform.
Ian Turner, who was formerly the CTO and senior VP of engineering at Lightchip, has been named president and COO at Confluent Photonics.
