Syntune AB of Kista, Sweden, a supplier of single-chip tunable lasers and transmitters, and CyOptics Inc. of Breinigsville, Pa., a developer of InP optical chip and component technologies, have entered a cooperative agreement to accelerate the introduction of full-band tunable laser products for the telecommunications market. Under the agreement, Syntune tunable lasers will be manufactured on the CyOptics automation platform for the continuous volume supply of the devices. The distribution of Syntune products will be enhanced through the use of CyOptics’ worldwide sales channels.
