Cognex Receives $3 Million in Orders from TSK

NATICK, Mass., Dec. 14 -- Cognex Corp. has received orders totaling $3.1 million from semiconductor processing equipment maker Tokyo Seimitsu Co. Ltd. TSK has ordered Cognex's machine vision systems for integration into its wafer prober equipment and wafer dicers, which are sold to chip manufacturers.
We were very excited to receive these purchase orders, which were greater than we expected, said Robert J. Shillman, Cognex Corp.'s president, chairman, and CEO. These orders are continuing signs of both the recovery in the semiconductor business and of the continued confidence that TSK has in Cognex's leading-edge machine vision products.
