Catalyst Semiconductor Inc. of Santa Clara and Leadis Technology Inc. of Sunnyvale, both in California, have formed a partnership to deploy the Quad-Mode LED driver technology throughout the global handheld display market. Under the agreement, Leadis will license Catalyst’s Quad-Mode charge pump technology and receive rights to integrate the architecture into upcoming LED driver products. The companies also plan to coordinate marketing and sales activities to build awareness of the benefits of the Quad-Mode products.
